Barbara Platte founded the label "TRAITS Paris" in 1994. Twice a year, she releases collections of shawls and scarves that are produced exclusively for her in the South of France.
The delicate structure of the textiles she designs, along with their texture, the playful approach to colors, and the subtlety of the graphics give each of her creations a unique strength.

Her collections are inspired by her travels in Northern Europe and her strolls through the world of fashion in Paris, before taking shape in her design studio in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.

Barbara Platte studied fashion design at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences as well as at the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris.
She created fabrics, shawls, and accessories for the fashion houses Lapidus, Gianni Versace, Hermès, Helmut Lang, and Jil Sander.
